McEwan celebration of life set

A tribute to Dr. William S. “Bill” McEwan and a retrospective on his life’s work will be
held Sunday, Aug. 31, from 1-4 p.m. at the Carriage Inn.
The family invites members of the community to join in celebrating and sharing
stories of his life as an artist, chemist, glider pilot, soldier, husband, father,
grandfather and friend.
A noted sculptor, physical chemist and contributor in many areas of research and
development at China Lake, McEwan died Aug. 8. He was 93.
