The Burroughs students have been enjoying the weather lately, and are getting in to the swing of their
new classes.
    King of Hearts is now two weeks away, and tickets have started to be sold in the Sherman Shack for
$10 a person with an ASB card, and $15 without. The winter sports rally is the Friday before the dance,
and the theme this year is BHS Live.  
    Boys’ soccer is also having a fund-raiser tonight at Charley’s, and 20 percent of all profits will go to the
soccer team.
    JV and Varsity girls’ soccer plays Barstow Thursday at 3 and 4:30 p.m.  Girls’ JV and Varsity basketball
also plays Barstow at home, starting at 5 and 6:30 p.m.  The boys’ teams will play Barstow there.
    The Drama Club has started practicing for the spring play, “Cyrano de Bergerac,” to have another great
performance.  
    The Junior Class has begun selling matchmakers on the quad to pair students with their most
compatible and least compatible matches.
    Next Saturday Key Club will have a campus cleanup day to help the campus look great after the
puddles clear.

Bible studies planned for Immanuel
    Immanuel Baptist Church is offering Tuesday-morning Bible studies for women.  All studies are at the
Immanuel Ministry Center, 1201 N. China Lake Blvd.  Free preschool child care is available to participants for
all sessions. Registration is available at any Immanuel worship service or online at ibcridgecrest.org under
Women’s Ministries.
    “One in a Million” by Priscilla Shirer began Jan. 12 and will run through Feb. 23
    “Me, Myself, and Lies” by Jennifer Rothschild will meet March 2 through April 27
    All books may be purchased at Hannah’s Bread of Life Christian Bookstore. For details about the studies,
