Navy Ensign Kathleen L. Tidwell, daughter of
James Tidwell and Fong Tidwell of Ridgecrest,
recently graduated from Officer Candidate
School in Newport, R.I., and was commissioned
at her present rank.
Tidwell, who was selected in May 2009 as a
student naval aviator, is currently stationed at
NAS Pensacola, Fla., for flight training.
She is a 2008 graduate of the University of
California, Los Angeles, and received a bachelor
of science in marine biology. A 2004 graduate of
Burroughs High School, she is a native of
Ridgecrest.
