     • Information Desk — Located in City Hall, the volunteer staff of the IWV Information Center is ready
to help answer questions. You can reach the center at 760-499-5015 Tuesdays through Fridays 9 a.
m. to 4 p.m.
     • Maturango Museum — Check out the museum between 10 a.m and 5 p.m. seven days a week
(except major holidays). You’ll find brochures and maps to help answer your questions about our
desert, as well as a helpful staff that can provide a lot of local answers.
     • Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce — The chamber, 760-375-8331, is another great source of
information, including packets chock-full of information. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through
Fridays.
     • The Ridgecrest Branch Library  — The library is a great source of information, directions or leads
on where to go for various needs and more. Public Internet access, free WiFi and a helpful staff are
among the library’s assets. Hours are Tuesdays-Thursdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. To reach the library, call 760-384-5870 or visit www.kerncountylibrary.org for 24-7 access to an
online catalog and specialized databases.
