Country singer was big hit
To the Editor:

Country music star Lee Brice paid a Jan. 20 visit to Tommy T’s Sports Bar in Ridgecrest, and performed
before a packed house of country music lovers who clearly had a good time.
The popular singer-songwriter called for “four by four on the dance floor” and the crowd responded by
packing the dance floor directly in front of the stage.
They remained there cheering Brice on until he completed his encore number to conclude the show.
Brice did not disappoint the Tommy T’s crowd. He delivered recognizable hits such as “Love Like Crazy,”
“Beautiful Everytime” and “A Woman Like You” all presented with a unique blend of traditional country and
modern-day country rock powered by an excellent backup band.
For his encore number, Brice chose a cover of the Hank Williams Jr. classic “Family Tradition,” which he
performed with a heavy dose of rhythm and blues.
That special rendition of this country music classic once again, whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Hank Jr.
and Otis Redding would have been proud of this arrangement.
The general consensus of the capacity crowd at Tommy T’s that night was that “we need more of these
type of concerts in Ridgecrest and the Indian Wells Valley.”
The managers at Tommy T’s apparently have already sensed this. They have booked a concert starring
country music star Terri Clark who will grace the club’s stage on Feb. 12. Now that’s the inspiration that will
create a great Valentine’s present. For more information, dial up the club’s official website at www.tommyt’
